1. Introduction
This Subscriptions and Refunds Policy explains how subscriptions to Banners All Over, operated by WHITE PIXEL SOLUTIONS LLC ("BOA," "we," "us," or "our"), work, how you can cancel your subscription, and under what circumstances refunds are provided.
All subscriptions to Banners All Over are processed through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy as well as Shopify's billing terms.
Please read this policy carefully before subscribing to any of our paid plans.
2. Subscription Plans and Billing
2.1 Available Plans
Banners All Over offers four subscription tiers: Basic (Free), Standard, Pro, and Business. Each tier includes different features, banner limits, and pricing options.
For current pricing details, including monthly and annual billing options, please visit our Pricing page.
2.2 Billing Cycles
- Monthly Subscriptions: Billed on the same day each month from when you subscribed
- Annual Subscriptions: Billed once per year on the anniversary of your subscription date
- Free Plan: No billing; available indefinitely with limited features
2.2.1 Understanding Prepaid Billing
All Shopify app subscriptions use prepaid billing. This means:
- Monthly: On your billing date (e.g., the 15th), you pay for the upcoming month (15th to next 14th)
- Annual: On your subscription anniversary, you pay for the entire upcoming year
- You pay first, then use the service - not pay-as-you-go
- Canceling stops future charges but doesn't refund time already paid for
Example
If you subscribe monthly on January 15th at $15/month, you immediately pay $15 for January 15 - February 14. On February 15th, you'll be charged $15 for February 15 - March 14, and so on.
If you cancel on January 20th, you won't be charged on February 15th, but you don't get a refund for January 20-31.
2.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Shopify through their app billing system. We do not directly handle or store your payment information.
For questions about payment processing, please refer to Shopify's Payment Terms.
2.4 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date by downgrading to the Free Plan or uninstalling the app (see Cancellation Policy section). You will be charged the then-current price for your subscription plan.
Renewal Notifications: We may send you a reminder before your subscription renews, but you are responsible for tracking your renewal date and taking action (downgrading or uninstalling) if you no longer wish to continue with a paid plan.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Canceling Your Paid Plan (Downgrade to Free)
If you want to stop being charged but continue using Banners All Over with basic features, downgrading to the Free Basic Plan is the recommended option. This allows you to:
- Stop all charges: The Free Plan is free forever—no billing required
- Keep using the app: Continue with limited banners and slides and features
See our Pricing section for exact limits - Preserve your data: All your banners and settings are retained
Excess banners are disabled but not deleted - Re-upgrade anytime: Easily return to a paid plan whenever you need more banners or additional features
3.1.1 How to Downgrade
To downgrade to the Free Basic Plan:
- Open the Banners All Over app in your Shopify admin
- Go to Your Plan
- Select Basic Plan
- Confirm your downgrade
When does the downgrade take effect? Your downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you continue to have full access to your current plan's features.
What about billing?
- Monthly subscribers: You've already paid for the current month. You will not be charged again when your next billing date arrives (since the Free Plan is $0).
- Annual subscribers: You've already paid for the full year. You will not be charged again when your annual renewal date arrives next year (since the Free Plan is $0).
- No prorated refunds: You keep access through your paid period, but do not receive a refund for unused time.
Important: Downgrading does not provide a refund for the current billing period. You've already prepaid for this period and will keep access through its end. Starting from your next billing cycle, you'll be on the free plan with no further charges.
3.1.2 What Happens to Your Data
When you downgrade to the Free Basic Plan:
- All Data Retained: Your banner data, settings, and media files are not deleted
- Free Plan Limits: The Free Plan allows fewer banners, fewer slides and less features than paid plans
See our Pricing section for detailed information on the limits and features available in each plan - Excess Banners Disabled: Banners or slides exceeding the Free Plan limits will be disabled but not deleted, and non-included features will also be disabled
- Easy Recovery: Your excess banners will remain in your account and will be automatically enabled if you upgrade back to the previously paid plan
- Visible in Dashboard: Disabled banners will appear in your dashboard marked as "Disabled - requires Standard Plan or higher"
For Paid Plan Subscribers: When downgrading between plans or to the Free Plan, any banners exceeding your new plan's limit will be disabled but retained. For exact banner and slide limits for each plan, please refer to our Pricing section.
3.2 Completely Removing the App (Uninstallation)
Before You Uninstall
Consider downgrading to the Free Plan instead of uninstalling if you:
- Might need your banners again within 6 months
- Want to preserve your design work
- Are testing other solutions but haven't decided
Warning: Uninstallation triggers a 180-day retention period, after which data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Only choose this option if you want to completely terminate your use of Banners All Over. Consider downgrading to the Free Plan instead (see the Canceling Your Paid Plan section).
If you've decided to completely remove Banners All Over from your Shopify store, you can uninstall the app through your Shopify admin:
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel
- Go to Apps in the left sidebar
- Find Banners All Over in your installed apps
- Click the Delete or Uninstall button
- Confirm the uninstallation
What Happens When You Uninstall
When you uninstall the Banners All Over app:
- Immediate Effect: Your subscription is canceled immediately upon uninstallation
- Billing Outcome: Same as downgrading - no charges at your next renewal date
- Monthly: No charge when next billing date arrives
- Annual: No charge when annual renewal arrives
- No refund for time already paid (monthly or annual)
- Loss of Access: You will lose access to the app and all its features immediately
- Recovery Window: You can reinstall the app in the same store within 90 days and easily recover all your data automatically
- Extended Retention: Data is retained for an additional 90 days (days 91-180) for operational purposes (chargeback resolution, fraud prevention)
- Data Retention: Your data is retained for 180 days in case you reinstall (see What Happens to Your Data After Cancellation section for details)
- Permanent Deletion: After 180 days, all your banner data, settings, and media files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
- Immediate Deletion Option: You can request immediate deletion by waiving recovery rights (see Immediate Deletion Request Process
Important: Unlike some subscription services, uninstalling the app means you lose access immediately, regardless of whether you've paid for the current billing period.
If you want to continue using the app until the end of your paid period, keep the app installed until that date, or downgrade to the Free Plan instead.

3.3 Comparison: Downgrade vs. Uninstall
Not sure whether to downgrade or completely uninstall? Here's a quick comparison to help you decide:
| Aspect | Downgrade to Free | Complete Uninstall |
| When does change take effect? | End of current billing period | Immediately |
| Access to paid features | Until end of current period, then Free plan limits | Lost immediately |
| Charged again at renewal? | No (Free plan is $0) | No (uninstalled) |
| Refund for unused time? | No - already paid through current period | No - already paid through current period |
| Your banners, slides and media | Disabled but kept (can re-enable if upgrade) | Permanently deleted after 180 days (90-day easy recovery window) |
| Can you use the app? | Yes, with limited banners, slides and features (see Pricing) | No access to app |
| Data recovery window | N/A (always preserved) | 90 days easy recovery (reinstall), data retained total 180 days |
| Can you change your mind? | Yes, upgrade anytime | Yes, reinstall within 90 days (easy), within 180 days (with support) |
| Recommended for... | Testing features, cost savings, seasonal use | No longer need banners at all |
Key Billing Insight
Both options have the same billing outcome: No charges at your next renewal date.
The key difference is when you lose access to paid features:
- Downgrade: Keep paid features until end of period you already paid for
- Uninstall: Lose access immediately (but no refund for time already paid)
Example: If you're on an annual plan and paid $120 on January 1st, both downgrading and uninstalling in August mean no charge next January 1st. Downgrading lets you use paid features through December 31st; uninstalling ends access immediately in August with no refund.
Decision Helper
Choose downgrade if you:
- Want to save money but might need banners again in the future
- Only need limited features (Free Plan has fewer banners/slides than paid plans)
- Might upgrade during peak seasons or promotional periods
- Want to keep your banner designs and settings for later use
Choose uninstall if you:
- Definitely don't need banners in the foreseeable future
- Want to completely remove the app from your Shopify admin
- Have already saved all content you need
Our Recommendation: We recommend downgrading to the Free Plan unless you're certain you'll never use the app again. This preserves your work and gives you flexibility for the future.

Re-Upgrading from Free Plan
You can upgrade from the Free Plan to any paid plan at any time:
- How to Upgrade: Open the app, go to Your Plan, and select your desired paid plan

4. Refund Policy
4.1 General Refund Policy
Understanding Prepaid Subscriptions
All Shopify app subscriptions are prepaid:
- Monthly: When charged on your billing date, you're paying for the entire upcoming month
- Annual: When charged on your subscription anniversary, you're paying for the entire upcoming year
Cancellation and Refunds
If you downgrade to Free Plan: Generally non-refundable. You receive access through the end of your prepaid period (the time you already paid for), which serves as your "money's worth." You will not be charged again at your next renewal.
If you uninstall the app: Generally non-refundable. You lose access immediately but do not receive a refund for your prepaid time. You will not be charged again at your next renewal.
No prorated refunds: Whether monthly or annual, we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time. Both downgrading and uninstalling prevent future charges but do not refund time already paid.

Service Not as Described:
- If the app fundamentally fails to deliver the features described on our pricing page and documentation
- Refund requests based on this reason must be submitted within 7 days of subscription
- You must provide specific details about which features are not functioning as described
Incompatibility Issues:
- If our app is incompatible with your Shopify theme and we are unable to resolve the issue within 14 days
- Must be reported within 14 days of subscription
- Requires cooperation with our support team to attempt resolution
